Home Run Inn was open in 1923 as a small tavern on Chicago’s South Side. The tavern received its name when a baseball from the neighborhood park smashed through the front window. By 1947, the iconic pizza recipe was created and that same recipe is still used today in Home Run Inn’s 9 pizzerias and frozen pizza sold in over 35 states. Serving all natural, prepared daily ingredients, makes Home Run Inn one of Chicago’s authentic thin crust pizzas.
